Hardwired Ring Siren - Pairing

Hi there - apologies if this is a daft/duplicate question.

My electrician hardwired my ring siren and I’m now trying to pair it with the app. When I try to I get as far as the step when I’m told to remove the battery pull - is this still needed if the siren is hardwired?

I can’t now access the siren to remove the battery pull and didn’t think this would be necessary with mains power?

Hi @MikeGrime. Yes, pulling the tab will initiate the connection needed for the Base Station to receive the signal. I suggest doing this with the Base Station as close as possible, to allow for the best connection.
