Hardwired ring doorbell is charging but not activating chime

My ring doorbell is hardwired to a 22V mechanical doorchime.

Ring settings show it as being hardwired, and it is getting a tricklecharge (and never requires a usb charge). However the mechanical chime does not get activated when the ring button is pressed. When I remove the ring device and jumper the contacts the mechanical chime rings as expected.

Thoughts?

Hey @Msingle. While you do have a compatible power setup, you may not have a compatible chime kit. What kind of internal chime kit do you have? You can verify if it’s compatible in our list here.

I have the ring second generation video doorbell everything is set up everything works but when you press the doorbell button it won’t ring with my existing doorbell chime but the actual ring doorbell rings you can hear the chime basically I cannot hear the ringing inside my house
