Continuing the discussion from Original house ringer randomly going off:

Our Ring doorbell will randomly “ring our doorbell” and nobody is there ACTUALLY using it. At 1st it would just “ring” our doorbell maybe once and we looked and nobody was there. Kinda spooky but everyone was home and it was the middle of the day so we shrugged it off. Everything was normal and a week or so later the doorbell to our house rang again with nobody there but this continued at least 4 or 5 times in a row. Anytime our doorbell rings our dogs go nuts. We went and cleaned it off really good with cleaning wipes and it seemed to go back to normal for a few days and then starts again. My husband is an electrician and nothing is wrong with our wiring. Now its just becoming annoying because it does it randomly day or night. Normally if it does it lately it will ring the doorbell at least twice within a 10 minute span. Ive asked our son that has 1 at his house and his does the same. Ive asked other friends and they have just started having the same issue. We’ve had it 3 years and just wondering if it can be fixed before all of us remove and cancel, because being jolted out of sleep at 2 or 3 am needs to stop. It worked great until the last 4 months or so. Sometimes it will notify “someone is ringing doorbell” on the application with nobody there and our actual doorbell not ringing. How to fix this??

Hi @Sugahdarln. Thank you for verifying that there is nothing wrong with your wiring. The next step to take would be to factory reset your Doorbell to see if it helps. To factory reset your Doorbell press and hold the setup button on it for 20–25 seconds, then reconnect it to your wifi. If you have tried this step and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call for further assistance.
