Hardwired Ring Doorbell - Critical battery

I have a hardwired Ring doorbell 2 now showing critical battery levels and taking itself offline asking me to reconnect to wifi (which is 3 metres away). Not been a problem before now!

I have to keep manually charging the battery, and then it only works for a few days, hardwire is clearly not maintaining battery levels. I’ve turned all the features off, and no help. Still does the same.

Doing my damn head in.

What’s the temperature in your area? The doorbell will stop charging the battery once the temperature is below around 32F to prevent damaging it.

I’m in the UK, so mild. Currently 34-45 Fahrenheit this week.

Any ideas for why this no longer works?

Or should I be considering what others on this forum are doing and replacing this with an alternative?
