Hi @eflactem. Wiring a battery-operated Doorbell to your existing doorbell circuit provides a trickle charge that helps keep the battery topped off. The Doorbell still runs off the battery itself, but the doorbell circuit will slowly provide a bit of a charge so you don't have to charge it as often.
