Hard Wiring 1st Gen Video Doorbell

troubleshooting
I have a 1st Gen Video Door Bell, currently running on battery power only.
I want to hardwire it.
So I've run a power cable from the video doorbell located at the front of my house, to a power point located in my kitchen, approx. 15 meters in distance.
Can I use the Ring 2nd Generation Plug-in adapter and connect it to the power cable end, located at my kitchen??
Do l need a resistor as well.

Thank you Tom.
I will now proceed and connect the Gen 2 Plug-in adapter without a resistor to the Gen 1 Video Door Bell.
Cheers
