Hard water stains and UV cracking on Ring Pro clear plastic window

The clear plastic window surrounding the physical ringer button on my RingPro appears to have hard water stains and UV cracking. It looks so bad that I just took the doorbell down. Does anybody have a solution for this? Will ring help replace the plastic shield?

I tried to contact support, but was redirected to post on this forum for some strange reason. See attached photo.

Thanks!

Hey @driverjeff. My apologizes if you were trying to chat support, as chat support is not available at this time and you’ll be redirected to this neighbor to neighbor support forum for addition help from other neighbors. After taking a look at this picture, we are unable to replace the plastic shield, but will instead replace the whole device in this case if you’re still within warranty. For this request, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19. I am having the same issue with the plastic cracking on the front of the Ring Pro. Seems like a defect with the quality of the plastic abd reacting to the UV. It also affects the video quality as 2 cracks are right in the middle of the camera and it shows unfocused/blurry spots in the video.

What can be done for this? a $250 doorbell should not have this issue.

thanks.

Jason.

We have the same problem and the hard water spots are really impacting the clarity and visibility of the video… I believe we are out of the warranty window so I don’t know if there is much help for us…

Did anyone get this resolved? I have the same issue. Picture attached. I would think the plastic should be replaceable. I wonder if newer ones have this issue. Glass would be better than cheap plastic.
