Give "ownership" to tenant?
troubleshooting

Hello. I have a Ring security system with cameras in my rental home. I need to temporarily assign them control of the system, cameras and all, but will need to transfer ownership back to myself when they vacate the premises. How do I do this?

Is there a way to contact Ring support via e-mail?

Hi @bek1! There are a couple options for temporarily granting access to your Ring devices. Check out our [Change of Ownership help center article ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025997592-Ownership-of-a-Ring-Device)which will outline the process of changing ownership, as well as Shared Users. When granting others access to your Ring devices, [Users and Roles](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005235186-Controlling-Ring-Devices-With-Users-and-Roles) will help you understand each level of access. Owner level is the highest level of access and will be able to access all features of the Ring account. If you are needing further assistance, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support. As we always value our neighbor feedback, feel free to check out our [Feature Request Board](https://community.ring.com/c/products/feature-request-board/24) to vote on requests and/ or make a new request. :)

Hi, Marley. I had already reviewed that page. Sharing an account is not an acceptable solution with tenants. There is a serious privacy issue. No tenant is going to allow the landlord to view in-home cameras.

I agree with bek1. I consider sharing a huge privacy issue as my tenants don't want me being able to see their actions. I actually went the change ownership route. Unfortunately, my tenants stopped paying rent so I had to evict them. Now I can't get my ring setup since they are still the owners and thus I don't have my ring doorbell protecting my property. There is a form to fill out but this goes to the tenants for them to approve giving up their access. I'm the original account for my ring doorbell, then the tenants, and now I want access back. I don't understand why this isn't an expected flow for Ring. Very frustrating.

Any update here? We really could use a feature like this as we are about to turn our house into a rental property
