My free trial ends on 21st August. I've taken the 12months upfront plan so why does the next payment come or 12 months from today and not 12 months from the end of my free trial?

Indeed, your paid subscription should not start until 30 day trial is over and then, the next bill should not occur until 12 months after the paid subscription starts. The paid subscription and trial should NOT run simulataneously in other words.

Hi @Skcooke. @trail-explorer is correct, your paid Ring Protect subscription will not start until your free trial is over. I would check the amount that you were charged, as it may have been a pro-rated amount. If you are unable to figure this out, our support team will be able to take care of you. Please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support.
