Make sure your Ring app is fully updated, then check the [RSSI](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/217271526-Checking-Your-Ring-Device-s-Wifi-Signal-Strength) on the Device Health page to verify that your Floodlight Cam has a strong connection. After ensuring the signal is strong and stable, review your router settings and check that the [ports and protocols used by Ring devices](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/205385394-Protocols-and-Ports-Used-by-Ring-Devices) are open. If any of these are not open, that could be impacting the Floodlight Cam's ability to properly record events. Lastly, you can perform a [reboot](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-Rebooting-your-Video-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera) in the Ring app using the reboot option on the Device Health page.
