troubleshooting
Newly installed Floodlight Cam, lights permanently on as soon as powered up. No flashing just on even for set up. Tried reset, have turned lights off manually, turned off motion detection, reduced light sensitivity, deactivated etc but all to no avail. Lights just on all of the time. Hard wired and connected to WiFi correctly. Can activate siren, view camera etc but nothing will turn the lights off other than cutting the power. Please help!!!

Hi there, @Northumberland123! This should not happen with the Floodlight Camera lights. While they may detect movement and trigger the lights, in most cases the lights should turn off thereafter. As you mentioned being able to live view, this is a great sign that your Floodlight Camera is online and working as intended, which makes the lights concerns even odder to hear about. Please ensure this Floodlight Camera has a good [RSSI](https://community.ring.com/t/how-it-works-your-ring-device-rssi-good-vs-poor/229), and that there are not any specialty or dimmer switches controlling the power to your Floodlight Camera. I recommend also checking for any linked devices in your Ring app, and your light schedules. Visit our [Community post](https://community.ring.com/t/feature-update-camera-light-schedules/48587) for the most recent information on the latest light scheduling feature. Feel free to let us know how this goes! :)

Hi neighbors. The lights on your Floodlight Cam should not be permanently on. They will come on when motion is detected as long as it is dark enough outside, or if you have a Light Schedule in place. If the lights on your Floodlight Cam are permanently on, first verify that you do not have a [Light Schedule](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360058421812-How-to-Use-Security-Camera-Light-Schedules-) set up. Then check for anything that may be triggering the [motion detection for the lights](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004155866-Controlling-the-Floodlights-and-Light-Settings-on-Your-Floodlight-Cam), including reflective surfaces or sources of heat. If the lights are still on all the time after checking the above, try rebooting your Camera from the Device Health page. The reboot will take a few minutes. Should this concern still persist, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) for further assistance. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
