Floodlight Cam has been flickering/strobing for several days
The floodlight cam started to flash/strobe a coup leof weeks ago. I have tried everything from checking wiring, to reseting, to a device health report. Nothing seems to fix it and the light intensity is becoming very weak to the point that I have turned off the light to stop annoying the neighbors. Based on what I found on the web, there is not fix to this as the LED elements are not replaceable. I have seen DIY videos on YouTube where people buy a cheap floodlight and replace the entire optical assemblies, which seems crazy to me. has anyone found a different solution? Is there an option to get a replacement unit and return the one that has failed? Thanks in advance.

I have had the same problem since I bought mine floodlight. I bought mine a few years ago and back then I got, the light flashes when doing an update. This flashes into my neighbor's bedroom window, so I have to turn off the light. Over time, it has only got worse. I've been a Ring customer since 2016 and regretfully, the flashing light has forced me to look for another solution. Does anyone know if the new floodlight pro has the same problem?

I had two units with the same problems. Has anyone found a fix to this? If not, I’m taking them back to Costco for a full refund.

I am seeing a slight flickering at night with the Ring flood lights. The house came with the flood light and door bell. Does the warranty transfer to new home owner?

Hey neighbors! Check out our [Help Center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004155866-Controlling-the-Floodlights-and-Light-Settings-on-Your-Floodlight-Cam) for tips on controlling the lights for your Floodlight Camera. Adjust the motion settings and checking for environmental factors that might be triggering the lights is a great step. Please also consider if you have a light switch or dimmer switch controlling the power to the Floodlight Camera, and ensure there is no one flipped the switch or any obstructions hitting it. If this concern persists despite trying the above, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). This is EXACTLY what is happening. We purchased 4 ring wired pro cameras (for $800 bucks) and they started strobing during a storm. I had to cut the power to them because I could not control them on my ring ap (showed them as off line). Thank goodness we were home! So when discussing this with Ring customer service, they suggested it was one of our cameras and sent us a replacement but would not pay for the electrician (another $500 to install all 4 cameras). I just received the camera but did not install it yet. Last night we had a storm and AGAIN all cameras started strobing and I had to shut them off. All but the bum camera turned back on in the morning --- but how is that even appropriate? How can I leave my house and expect Ring cameras to work when someone will always have to shut them off if and when they strobe? (one time, shame on you, twice shame on me!) In my call with Ring customer service today, they said that since the other three cameras are working AT THIS MINUTE they would not replace them and did not know what the problem was. In fact, the agent said "I'm sorry ma'am but the weather is out of our control" Now this is interesting. Ring cameras are built for outside use. All four of my cameras have shelter. Everywhere in the country has thunder storms. So what is the problem? This is terrible customer service, and my hunch is that the product over all is bad. Perhaps another ring camera and floodlight works better? Why take the risk? My doorbell works great and has for two years, but the cameras are terrible if this is what we can expect. I now have to turn them off when I leave the house. Why? because I cannot operate them when I'm gone and I can only imagine that a neighbor will call me with my 'house flashing'.....can't turn them off remotely. What use is that? Ring, I expected so much more.
