Failing to save mode setting changes
Hi, for the last two weeks or so I can no longer save mode setting changes for my security cameras. When I go to Settings → Modes → Disarmed → Cameras and toggle off “mode detection” and click save I get the error message “failed to save settings. please try again”. I get the same message for all cameras and all modes, on the website or phone app. all cameras have up to date software. I’m logged in as the admin for the account (there are no shared users). Anybody else experienced this issue or advice on how to resolve it?

I also have this issue, cannot change mode notification settings for any doorbell or camera, on app or desktop. Just gives a failed to save error.

I am also experiencing this issue, no modes can be saved either or app or desktop, rather unhelpful errors. Spoke to Tier 1 support, they could not help, now escalated. This could be an actual problem on Ring’s side. @Caitlyn_Ring this definitely needs to be escalated and fixed! Note that I have an active Protect Plus subscription, valid until December 2024.

I’m having the same issue. After an hour on the phone I was told it’s a known issue and I would be notified when a fix was found. I only have thirty days to return so I’ll be returning both spotlight cam plus I bought.

I’ve just posted to another thread, and now see this issue is not just mine and I should have posted here. The idea is to configure your home Cameras and Doorbells to protect your home in different ways, depending on your current needs. Disarmed Select Disarmed Mode when you’re at home and want the freedom to go in and out of your house … The gist is that I have found installing a second device (a cam) caused the mode saving problem on both my devices (the new cam and the previously installed doorbell). The saving issue was evident whether using the Ring iPhone app or the Ring website on my laptop. I found, though, that disabling modes and then enabling them again solved the issue for me. Unfortunately it doesn’t remember the customisations I had previously made on my doorbell so I had to set the modes up from scratch again. Hope this work around works for others.
