Hi @user32946. The Ring Video Doorbell Wired will not activate any pre-existing chimes. When installing the Doorbell Wired it will include a Jumper Cable that needs to be installed to bypass the pre-existing chime. This Help Center article here will provide you with the steps on how to install a Doorbell Wired. Ring Chimes are available if you want something to sound an alert in your home when the Doorbell is rung. If you have Echo devices, you can also use those to play an audible alert when your Doorbell is rung. I hope this helps!
