Doorbell stopped working

Ring door bell working fine for two weeks now suddenly offline it was dead. I put an hour of charge back in it and it came round after my son reconnect it to WiFi but now all it does is go live but no notification if you go to the door, WiFi is fine do I need to send it back.

Hi @user31969. If the Doorbell is back online and the Live View works, then you likely just need to ensure that the notifications are correctly toggled on. In the Ring app, tap the menu in the top left > Devices > your Video Doorbell > then make sure Ring Alerts, Motion Detection, and Motion Alerts are all toggled on. It should look like the screenshot below.

After that, ensure that you do not have Motion Detection disabled within the Modes settings. This can prevent your Doorbell from detecting motion and sending you alerts if you change it to a Mode where Motion Detection has been disabled. Lastly, check your phone’s settings and make sure the Ring app has permission to send notifications to your phone. You can usually navigate to the settings app on your phone and then choose the Ring app to adjust the permissions for notifications.
