We have been robbed twice and both times the doorbell didn’t record anything, it stops recording at random times during the night, not sure what’s going on,

Mine stopped recording several weeks ago. My ring doorbell doesn’t record any history. It will show me the current view but when I go into history on my PC it says "When your ring devices begin recording events, they will show up here. My phone doesn’t even say that all it has on it is the help video. I have the Basic plan but if this doesn’t work what good is it?
Sorry to hear about this neighbors! As long as you are subscribed, with motion settings active, you should certainly be able to view your event recordings. The best first step here will be to remove and reinstall your Ring app on your mobile device.
If this is occurring in a web browser, please try another browser and ensure the correct location is selected at the top. If video is intermittently capturing/ recording, the next best step will be to check your wifi signal strength. Check out our Community post about RSSI for tips on optimizing this signal strength.
