Doorbell not connecting to the wifi

My ring doorbell wont connect to wifi, it finds it during the setup and shows good strength, however at the end of the setup process it said the connection failed. I tried both a standard setup and also using the chime pro to create the connection.

What is the reason for this? Also tried hard resetting and no luck.

The chime pro connects to the router no problems so can’t figure why the doorbell won’t do the same thing.


Hi @user62477. When the doorbell fails to connect, what is the light displaying on the front of the doorbell? This Help Center article here will show you what your specific light pattern means. To start, try using an alpha-numeric password. Also, if you can, bring the doorbell next to the router for setup.
