Hey everybody! After spending close to an hour and 20 minutes on the phone with Ring Support, and three reps, I FINALLY got the answer to a question I had. I will not bore you with the details, but will state what CAN be done with the Ring Doorbell Elite. You can use a PoE injector without connecting to a router to POWER your Doorbell Elite, then use WIFI for network connectivity. This would be a worst case scenario where one cannot get an Ethernet wire to location, but wants the better looking, better performing Doorbell Elite. This does not mean that WiFi is the best way to use the Doorbell Elite, just that a wired Ethernet connection is not required. Only PoE for power, and good WiFi. Good luck!
