Doorbell camera stopped working

The doorbell camera stopped working. Look like baterry drained but it was wired.
Presumably this is under warranty and i can get a new device?

Hi @andresp. Hardwiring a battery-operated Doorbell will use the power in the wires to trickle charge the battery in it. It is possible for the battery to drain completely even if hardwired, depending on a couple of factors like weather and usage. I recommend charging the battery in your Doorbell first before trying any other troubleshooting steps.

I’ve disconnected the doorbell and i’m trying to charge it with the usb cable, but instead of showing a partial blue ring as described here:

it shows a flashing ring as described here:

this being going on for more than an hour.

it seems to me the battery is not working.

Hi @andresp. It would be helpful if you can confirm which model of Ring Doorbell you have. The model name is located on the Device Health page in the Ring app. Also, are you using the provided charging cable plugged into a standard power outlet when charging the battery?

It says Video Doorbelk (2nd gen)
Yes, I disconnected it from the doorbell and connected it to a regular outlet using the cable provided in the box.

@andresp Thanks for confirming that. I’d suggest performing a reset on the Doorbell by holding down the setup button for 20 seconds. After the reset is done, try walking the Doorbell through a new setup in the Ring app. If your Doorbell still doesn’t appear to be charging, or is unresponsive to the reset and setup attempt, please follow up with our support team to take a closer look.
