One of my door sensors has started to do a continuous alarm (beep like 3 times/second) when the door is open. The ring on the sensor is blinking in the same frequency. When I close the door, no problems!
What has happened here? The sensor is less than a year old, including the battery.
Hello @TonyWestman ,
The door Contact Sensor just keeps sending a beeps every 3 times a second? That is weird and obviously should not be doing that. Since your Contact Sensor is less than a year old, the batteries in it should be OK, but if you have any doubts and/or it is a frequently used door, it wouldn’t hurt to use new batteries. I would go to this link and then select the appropriate Gen1 or Gen2 Contact Sensor that is on your door:

To be very thorough, following the instructions in this above link:
- I would first accomplish the steps for " What if I need to remove my Contact Sensor", to remove it from the Base Station.
- And then do the steps for “How to factory reset your Contact Sensor” to ‘start fresh’ putting your sensor back to its original factory settings.
Then re-setup your Contact Sensor to your Base Station like you did the initial time (following the instruction for "** Contact Sensor Setup" **in the below link).

And then, if this all doesn’t correct your issue, I would telephone Ring Support for help, and possible replacement of your Contact Sensor under its warranty:

Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19, their available hours have been changed also:

I hope this information is helpful
