Door sensor activity alert but no emergency dispatch?

I would like to have the Ring door sensors attached to my two patio screen doors enabled for activity alerts but NO alarm triggers or emergency dispatch as the wind occasionally blows open the doors and I want to avoid false alarms. We have the paid monitoring plan. Is this possible? If so, how do I set it up?

Hi @Hutchinj. Yes, you can control which Motion Detectors and Contact Sensors are monitored in each Mode by adjusting the [Mode settings](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005312623-Arming-Disarming-and-Setting-Modes-on-your-Ring-Alarm). That way your patio door Contact Sensors are not going to trigger the alarm but you can still receive alerts when they open. To do this follow these steps: 1. Tap the **Menu** (three-lined icon on the upper left-hand side of your screen) 2. Tap **Settings** 3. Tap **Modes** 4. Tap **Home** or **Away** 5. Tap **Sensors** 6. Toggle your patio door Contact Sensors to not be monitored. To receive alerts for when your patio door Contact Sensors are opened or closed, follow these steps: 1. Tap the **Menu** (three-lined icon in the upper left-hand side of your screen) 2. Tap **Devices** 3. Tap your **Alarm Base Station** 4. Tap on your patio door **Contact Sensor** 5. Toggle the **Open Alerts** and **Closed Alerts** on These steps should help you accomplish the settings you want. Your patio door Contact Sensors won't trigger the alarm if they're opened while the system is armed, but you will still receive a push notification when they're opened or closed. :)
