Camera usually picks every motion from cars driving by to pedestrians walking on side walk but last night did not pick up my car being broken into even though the car is in the driveway in full view of the camera. The camera pick up me parking at 5:00 and walking into the house, then subsequent cars drive by all night until around 10:15 pm and then nothing until my husband walks out to go to work at 4:00 am.

Hi @user61084. I'm sorry to hear your car was broken into. I can't speculate why a specific event wasn't captured. Your Ring Doorbell is designed to detect and notify you of visitors at your door. Things farther out may not always be captured. I'd be happy to help you review all your settings to ensure it's set to cover the areas you're concerned with. First, check your [Motion Zones](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210243483) and make sure they are drawn around the areas you want to be notified about motion in. You can draw multiple zones. Additionally, adjust your Motion Sensitivity as needed. If you have a battery powered Ring Doorbell, you'll also have access to the [Motion Frequency](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003477106-Optimizing-Motion-Alerts-with-Motion-Frequency) setting. Lastly, check your [Smart Alerts](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032947972-Refining-Your-Motion-Alerts-for-People-and-Other-Motions) settings (available with a Ring Protect plan). Sometimes it can take a bit of trial and error to find a combination of motion settings that works best with your home and the view your Doorbell has. If you need further assistance with fine-tuning your settings, feel free to reach out to our support team at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus). If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
