Does the Elite Power Kit use 802.3af or 802.3at POE

Hi all

As the title suggests, does the Elite Power Kit use 802.3af or 802.3at POE?

I know the elite doorbell is compatible with both, but I can’t find the spec sheet for the supplied power kit.

I only ask because I may need to use the spare pares of wires in my ethernet cable to connect to my existing door bell. I stupidly forgot to add a standard door bell wire to the new location and now it’s too late after plastering.

af uses the data pairs to send power, leaving the other two pairs ‘spare’, whereas at uses the spare pairs.

Glad you asked, @Ultim8! Much like the Video Doorbell Elite’s POE compatibility, the Ring branded PoE Adapter that comes with our Doorbell Elite uses both IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at standards. I hope this helps!
