Does the indoor camera trigger the alarm when motion is detected? I believe the answer is no but need a definitive answer. I’m monitoring a child sleeping and do not want the alarm to go off in the middle of the night. Thank you in advance!

Hi @Vterrazas. You are correct, Ring Cameras and Doorbells do not trigger the Ring Alarm system when they detect motion. Only your Ring Alarm components, like the Motion Detectors and Contact Sensors, will trigger the alarm when it’s armed.

This answered my question, so the camera just records, will not activate the alarm when the system is in AWAY mode. Looks like I’ll need a motion sensor in the same room as that camera.
