I purchased a ring doorbell and have attached it to my digital chime at the front of my house, the initial test shows there’s enough power to ring the chime, however when I push the button it will not make a sound. Anyone else dealing with this issue?
Hey @Jtune762. What kind of internal chime kit do you have and what kind of Doorbell did you install with it?
I’m having the same problem. I have Hampton Bay CH-7621-02 digital doorbell, which is listed on the compatible chime list. It was working fine with the regular door bell button but since I installed the Ring Pro 2, the chime no longer works. Any suggestions?
Hi @JonC. I looked at the compatibility list for the Doorbell Pro 2, and I see the Hampton Bay HB-7621-02 listed. I’m not sure if CH means anything different than HB as a prefix, but it’s worth checking to make sure there are different types of that model. Additionally, make sure the In-home Chime setting in the Ring app is set to digital and not mechanical. You can find this setting by tapping the menu in the top left > Devices > Doorbell Pro 2 > Device Settings > In-home Chime Settings.
It’s also worth ensuring that your Doorbell Pro 2 is wired up correctly. You can find wiring diagrams here, and find the installation instructions here.
