Device health says doorbell 2 is hardwired instead of battery
Device has always been battery only and used to show charge % on the app. It now says the device is hardwired with 100% charge.

Hey @fullybaby. I'd be happy to chime in for Chelsea and offer some guidance here. Do you have your Ring hardwired to an existing Doorbell setup? Is this for the Doorbell 2nd Generation or the Ring Video Doorbell 2? :)

Why is my Gen 2 saying hardwired in device health settings? As soon as I take it off the charger, it instantly stops working too… i’ve only had this ring for about 3 months. Please help?

Hi neighbors. If your battery powered Doorbell is hardwired to an existing doorbell circuit, it would display the hardwired status to indicate the Doorbell is receiving a trickle charge from the wiring. If your battery powered Doorbell is not hardwired to an existing doorbell circuit, it should reflect the battery percentage and not display a hardwired status. Ensure your Ring app is fully updated, and try performing a quick [reboot](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-Rebooting-your-Ring-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera-) of your Doorbell using the reboot option on the Device Health page. One more step you can try if that doesn't resolve this is a full reset. You can reset your Doorbell by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds. Once that's done, set the Doorbell back up in the Ring app. If this issue persists after trying the troubleshooting steps above, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus) for further assistance.
