Dead battery upon receiving

Just received my new doorbell. Battery was so dead it wouldn’t even power on. Anyone else receive theirs with a completely dead battery? In my experience, once a battery goes completely dead, they usually won’t hold a charge very long if they’ll take a charge at all. Don’t wanna send it back unless I have to. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @user64522. We always recommend charging the battery for your Ring Doorbell before installation. Batteries will lose some amount of charge over time, so the battery will never arrive fully charged. You should be able to fully charge the battery with the provided charging cable in order to complete the setup process in the Ring app.
