Date format for Mac desktop app

I’ve got a Mac with the Ring software (Version 2.8.2).

Date stamps are in US format - mm/dd/yy. My Mac system preferences are set to use UK format dd/mm/yy .

Is there any way that I can get the Ring software to use my preferred date format?
