Thanks for the pictures to go along with the video. Can you create a simple diagram of the relay showing where the 2 purple wires and the 2 wires from the intercom go on the physical contacts of the relay (not an electrical diagram but a physical layout of the relay contacts for us non-electrical dummies)?
It’s fairly easy to add the relay - Just use the power kit in bypass mode using the connector on the side and wire those two wires to the relay coil. The relay contacts then go to the door bell input on the nutone.
I added a screenshot of wiring. Note that the PPK in bypass mode is essentially in parallel with the relay coil terminals.
Hi, I have a NUtone IM3003 intercom and a new unused Ring 2nd generation doorbell. I have seen your youtube where you show that you can connect the Ring Doorbell to the intercom. You have a kit that includes a 24v ac transformer, resistor, Ring doorbell, relay and wiring instructions. I already have the Ring but would like to purchase the rest of the kit. Please send me details. Thanks.

Wirenutman,
E just moved into a home that has an M&S Systems intercom by the front door, as well as through the house. Any chance your kit is compatible with my intercom system. I have purchased the Ring 3. Thanks!

Hi neighbors. You’re welcome to browse the this thread and the Community for DIY solutions presented by other neighbors., but please keep in mind that dismantling your Ring device may void the warranty. You can learn more about your device’s warranty here. For any hardwiring questions or concerns that are not answered in the installation instructions for your Ring device, please consult a qualified electrician.
If you’re unsure whether or not your Doorbell is compatible with the chime kit you have in your home, you can find a list in our Help Center here. Make sure to select the article that matches the Doorbell model you have.
