Chime Pro 2 Help

Help, I have a recently brought a Chime Pro 2, and its connecting to my wifi fine but when I try to link my door bell gen 2 to it to improve the signal I keep getting set-up failure, I have adding the chime and its working but both are on my wifi, the whole point was to improve the single and connect the door bell to chime pro network.

The Chime Pro connects to the ring device but it just hangs on setting your device up then fails overtime

when connected to my wifi both device online and firmware upto date
any ideas please

We’re here to help, @MR_B72! As it sounds like it is at least trying to make the connection, let’s start with moving everything into one room. Please plug the Chime Pro in and bring the Doorbell to the same room as your router. This way we know that both devices have optimal signal for making this connection. They can, of course, be moved afterwards. Setup should be successful, but if not, try using another mobile device to perform the setup. Understanding that the Chime Pro just setup just fine, trying on another mobile device, if possible, can rule out many variables. Feel free to let us know how this goes! :slight_smile:

Hi thanks correct the chime pro set up on my network all ok and the door bell was originally but the idea was to get the chime pro to improve the signal, but I can’t connect the ring door bell to the pro network, have tried all of the above many times now, even uninstalled the app and the door bell , at moment its work just as a chime both on my wifi but the whole point was to hopefully get a better signal for the door bell as it ranges -58 to -66 at times on device health my chime pro is about -45 so a lot better, but the device connects to the pro then the final part setting up device it just gives an error everytime unable to set-up device please try again or connect or door bell to the wifi , this is where I’m at, feel very disappointed with this device its a lot of money for just a chime ? any other ideas ?

Thank you for the update on this! It is odd to hear that, even close together, these devices will not connect as intended. You mentioned that the Chime does alert with sound, and if it is able to process this command or even link to the Doorbell for alerts, this is a great sign that its at least functioning. If you have not already tried, the Chime can be reset by holding it’s setup button for 20 seconds.
