Chime not sounding

Our doorbell is not sounding on our chime. I had a Gen 1 chime which I have today replaced with a Gen 2. It’s all set up correctly and testing the sound works. However, when the doorbell button is pressed there is no sound from the chime. We are getting phone notifications.

Any ideas?


Hi @user36883. If your Chime is not chiming with your Doorbell, try the following steps:

  • Double check that you have linked your Doorbell with the Chime. This article will show you how, and while it is for the first generation, the steps are the same for the second generation.

  • Power cycle the Chime by unplugging it for a few seconds and plugging it back in.

  • Factory reset your Chime pressing and holding the setup button for 20-25 seconds then reconnect it to your wifi.
