Changing ownership.

Bought ring doorbell.
Old owner tried to release / remove ownership.
Still showing as registered to previous owner.

What is real process to override?

How long do I have to wait? It’s been 12 hours.

Hey @Wildriverdog. Once the previous owner has successfully removed the Doorbell from their account will you be able to set it up. If the previous owner is claiming they have removed it, they may have not removed it fully or properly, as they will need to follow the steps as you outlined it to them to have it removed! Once those steps are performed, the device is instantly available to set up.

If the previous owners insist they have removed it, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here.
