You also lose your videos on the server. This is horrible, there needs to be a feature to change from monthly to annual. Other vendors have that option, this is the first time it's been costly to go from monthly to annual.

I was able to call Ring Support today (May 2022) and a customer service rep helped me change the billing for my Protect Plus plan from monthly to yearly. They even prorated the yearly plan with the amount left on my current monthly plan. They assured me that the videos would be retained and that the

I saw your comment and decided to do the same thing. When I called, it seemed like the representative had no idea how to switch me from monthly to yearly, but she eventually figured it out. What an unhelpful system. You would imagine they would want to make it easy to swap plans… but oh no! It boggles my mind.
