Can’t pair Kwikset 914 with Ring Alarm

I just installed a Kwikset Smartcode 914 lock. It shows as a compatible lock. I’ve not been successful pairing in with the ring app. I select the 914 I’m the add devices list, press “A” 4 times on the lock (those are the instructions for putting it in pairing mode) and then Ring does the listening but never finds it. I’ve tried resetting the lock (press b 9 times) and then retrying but same thing. Also, there is a QR code so I did try to manually add the lock but it doesn’t recognize it and tells me I may have scanned a different code.

Any help?

Hi @Jabaugrad. Was this lock ever set up with another Z-Wave hub? If so, I’d try manually removing it from that Z-Wave hub first before attempting to add it in the Ring app. If that still doesn’t work, please follow up with our support team for further assistance. Make sure to request to speak with the Ring Alarm team specifically, since smart locks are integrated with the Ring Alarm.
