Can’t figure out how t reconnect to new wifi network

Hi @user52066. If you need to reconnect your Ring Doorbell to wifi, you can follow the steps listed here to do so. Make sure to have your wifi network name and password ready, and have your Doorbell within range of your wifi router.

If your Doorbell will not go into setup mode to connect to the wifi, you can perform a full reset by holding down the setup button on the Doorbell for at least 20 seconds. After the reset is done, try walking through a brand new setup in the Ring app with the steps under Set Up a Device. This should do the trick, but you can contact our support team if it doesn’t for further assistance. :slight_smile:

Hi, I tried following the steps to reconnect to the new Wi-Fi but it’s not working. Problem is the light does not turn white to reconnect. It stays blue until it goes off. This is the ring doorbell v2. I have another doorbell and a chime and they both reconnected fine. I have recharged the battery and it still doesn’t turn white to enable it to reconnect.

Hi @userKay. If your Doorbell will not go into setup mode in order to connect to your new wifi network, you can reset it by holding down the setup button for 20 seconds. Once that reset is complete, use the steps under Set Up a Device to walk through a new setup of your Doorbell and get it connected to the new wifi network.
