Can’t answer doorbell when someone is at the door

Hi neighbors! If you’re unable to access the Live View when someone is at your door, there could be different reasons causing this. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to narrow down the cause and find a solution:

  • Make sure the Ring app and your device’s OS are regularly updated to ensure compatibility. You can have these both auto-update by adjusting settings.
  • Test this out on both cellular data and on wifi to see if it occurs on both, or if the concern is isolated to one or the other.
  • Check the ports and protocols on your wifi network to ensure the ones used by Ring devices are open. You may need to contact your internet service provider for assistance with these settings.
