I am trying to find a way to setup my Ring Indoor Camera so that it only delivers me alerts for motion detection if I have my Ring app set to the Away mode.
I don’t care if there is motion in my property when I am home, but want notifications if it detects motion while I am Away.
Being a tech/security company I would be certain that this is possible.
If anyone has any insight, it’d be great!
@thmas. This Help Center article here has information on how to configure your Modes for Cameras. You can also schedule times that you don’t want Notifications with this Help Center article here. I hope this helps.
The standard functionally for Modes / Motion Schedules is VERY limited.
Please have a look at the Feature Request below which would allow each ‘Mode’ (Disabled, Home and Away) to have it’s own Motion Sechedule.
This would give a lot more flexibility to the alerts and stop having to manually turn Motion Schedules On and Off when changing Modes

For a particular camera, I’d like to have no Motion Schedule enabled when the Home Mode is set to ‘Away’, but when the Home Mode is set to ‘Home’, I’d like to have a Motion Schedule enabled e.g. 0700-2200.
i.e. ideal situation:
Home mode - Motion Schedule: 0700 - 220…
