Cameras make a loud clicking oise

Hi there,

I have 2 floodlight cameras (wired) and a doorbell 3 plus and all constantly make a regular clicking noise.

They all make the noise when activated in live view and also on playback of video, even if they weren’t live at the time. It happens in the daytime as well as night. It’s driving me crazy!

I’ve seen this mentioned a number of times in this community but can’t find a solution anywhere.

Your help in solving this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @MarkWardJones. Have you tried resetting your Ring devices? If not, give this a try by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds on each device. After that’s complete, you’ll want to run through a new setup of each one in the Ring App by following the steps under Set Up a Device. If the clicking noise persists after trying this step, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 here to see how to contact support.

It is very common for a tapped phone to experience background noise while you are on a call. Static and clicking are frequent sounds, but may also be due to a faulty connection. However, if you hear an oscillating static from your phone while it’s not in use, chances are the security of your mobile device is at risk Indigo Card
