Camera floodlight pro wired light comes on but no alert

I have a camera floodlight pro wired and the light keeps turning on but there is no notification of any motion detected.

Could this be caused by faulty wiring ?

I have the same issue. The light at night keeps flipping on and off. I have the sensitivity turned all the way down, but still no luck.

Hi neighbors. You can read more about the behavior of the lights on your Floodlight Cam in a similar thread here. The lights are intended to come on with every motion event, and this may include motions detected by the lights’ motion sensors and not the Camera’s motion sensors. You can learn more about the light settings available on your Floodlight Cam in our Help Center Article here.

The motion detection/alerts/lights should all be synched. Ring should issue an update. As it is, the lights are triggered when there is no alert and they go on and off all night. They can be triggered by insects, even when motion is set to detect people. There needs to be a fix. The lights should go on when there is a motion alert, or there should at least be this option.

Hi @FamFloodlight. As we value our neighbors feedback, we’ve created a Feature Request board. Feel free to add this and any future feature requests there. This will help us to organize and share your requests with our teams here, as well as allow other neighbors to comment and add interest, all in one place. :slightly_smiling_face:

I cleared the problem on mine after setting the “Motion Zones for Lights” to about 20% sensitivity. It’s seems pretty low but it stopped the false lighting and still triggers when there is motion. These setting are all under “Device settings”. Hope this helps.

I have the same experience as you do. My camera light was on one day but no notification. Whenever the lights were on, I came to the door to look and found out that it was the bugs causing the lights to turn on but not sensitive enough for the camera to send the notification. That did not bother me as much. Just wanna share it with you.

This is very annoying as my wired cam is in the front of the house and it constantly turns on. Same as every one else in this thread.

Last night my Ring flood camera did the same even with the sensitivity changes and such. Unfortunately that light shines into the patio door of our bedroom. So every 3 minutes we got lit up. Finally at 5am I was able to figure out how to just turn the light off. I went back to the “recordings” and nothing. No motion sense or anything recorded. Very annoying. There does need to be an update in regards to where is the light gets triggered, camera should record.
