Each time there is an iOS update for the Ring app, the ‘Tap Camera Preview for Live View’ setting is changed to disabled, despite it being enabled prior to the update. This has been happening for months, and each time I go back into each of my cameras and enable the option, only to have it disabled again for each camera upon the next app update.
Is there a formal way to submit a bug report for this behavior or is this the best spot to do so? Currently on iOS 14.7.1 but this has been an issue throughout several iOS 14 updates.

I have an iPhone 13. I’m on the most recent version of everything (iOS and Ring app). This has been an ongoing problem with the app for a very long time now.
Every time Ring releases an iOS app update, the ‘Tap Camera Preview for Live View’ setting is disabled under ‘Device Settings’, ‘Video Settings’, for each camera on my dashboard. This then requires an extra tap on ‘Tap to Go Live’ on each camera when opening the camera view, instead of launching directly into Live View. I re-enable the Live View setting after each app update only to have it disabled again after the next update.
It’s been happening for at least 6 months, if not longer. It’s quite annoying to have to re-enable this setting on all of my cameras after each app update.

Thank you!! I did not realize what was causing all my cameras to constantly reset to disabled for tap camera for preview, but it makes sense it’s after an app update. It is incredible frustrating, especially since I have 14 cameras! I have to go into EVERY SINGLE one EVERY time there’s an update to change the setting back. Incredibly frustrating!!
Please fix this Ring, it is the most annoying part of the app. Stop changing my preferences! Every time there is an update, it’s so annoying having to go through 5 devices and reset a setting a want. Please fix this, no other settings change on update so why this one.
Why is this still not fixed?!!! It’s been going on for over a year and a half and Ring has known about it since then. It’s becoming increasingly frustrating every time it needs to be reset.
Tap Camera Preview for Live View is disabled on all my camera everytime I update the app in the Apple App Store. This is brutal when you have a lot of cameras. Please fix this.
Good grief this has been going on for over a year and seems like it should such an easy fix. Why has Ring done nothing about this still?? It is beyond irritating to have to toggle it back for every single one of my cameras individually after every all update. Can you at least let us “apply to all” or something of the sort?
