Brand New Battery. Fully Charged, reports 34% Low Battery


I purchased a video doorbell with an additional battery. It’s fully charged and when swapping them today after receiving a notification of low battery, the newly swapped battery is showing only 34% charge. I’m concerned that there is a fault with the battery. Please advise next steps and actions to remedy this as I think the required resolution is to have the battery replaced.

Hi @LD12. Try triggering a test motion event or activating the Live View for a moment, then navigate back to the Device Health page. The motion event or Live View should have forced the Device Health page to update with the current battery percentage. If you still see a low battery please check that the battery is fully charged by plugging it in with the provided charging cable. You will see a green and orange LED lit up while charging, and only the green LED lit up once the battery is done charging.

If that still doesn’t appear to work, you can try rebooting your Doorbell by following the steps here. This should force the Device Health page to properly update and show the correct battery percentage.
