black screen no video on Rind Doorbell 2
I have a ring doorbell 2 and two stickup cams on the front of my house. The WiFI signal strength show RSSI values between of 52 (door) to 85, WIFI download speeds range for all three range from 3.0MPS to 1.1MPS (Door is this fastestest). Uploads are 6.5 MPS to 9.4 MPS (Door again is the fastest). Ping rates ae 31 ms (door) to 55 ms.I a fairly busy street 25 feet in front of me and have played arround with motion sensitivy on the doorbell. I am getting consistant motion camera activation for both stick up cams and motion alerts for the doorbell, but frequently the camera will not activiate and records a black screen. I just replaced my origional Ring Doorbell that failed after a few years. I never had this problem.

Whenever the RSSI value gets higher than about -55, then you will encounter difficulties establishing/maintaining the Wi-Fi high data-stream that is needed for audio/video connection. With a RSSI -85, I'm surprised that camera is even maintaining a Wi-Fi connection, and I would not expect it to function properly. The simpler Alerts are short low-data bursts, which is probably why you at least are receiving those. Poor Wi-Fi is the most common reason for "Black Screen" recordings or difficulty activating "Live View".Here are some links that may provide help strengthening your Wi-Fi.[https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/217271526-Understanding-RSSI-Values-and-Wireless-Signal-Strength](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/217271526-Understanding-RSSI-Values-and-Wireless-Signal-Strength)[https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023439472-Fixing-Black-Video-Errors-by-Adjusting-Your-Router](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023439472-Fixing-Black-Video-Errors-by-Adjusting-Your-Router)[https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030391371-Improving-your-Ring-Device-Connectivity-](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360030391371-Improving-your-Ring-Device-Connectivity-)Read this entire post:[https://community.ring.com/t5/General-Questions/No-events-or-Live-Feed/m-p/54367#M4102](https://community.ring.com/t5/General-Questions/No-events-or-Live-Feed/m-p/54367#M4102)You may use some of the information in these above links to get a lower RSSI value and you might also need a good Wi-Fi extender or like something like the Ring Chime Pro (with built-in extended). I hope you find this information useful. :)

I meant to say the camera is not consistantaly activating for the door bell, but is for the two stickup cams for the same events.
