When the motion is detected often the first 3-4 seconds of the video is black - often completely missing what caused the motion. This is when the WIFI is working well, I have even tried connecting it to a WIFI extender and it still happened.
Hi @bertringnews! It sounds like this is related to the pre-roll feature, which should not be black video, of course. Thank you for checking on wifi, as that is the best first step. Next, please remove and reinstall the Ring app on your mobile device.

Depending on the model Doorbell you have, it might be dual band compatible with your network. Please ensure this Video Doorbell is connected to your 2.4 Ghz wifi network, rather than the 5 Ghz.
