Black screen 2 days in row

I’ve had my ring doorbell 4 for a month or two now with no real issue up until this point, however last night the motion detector went off when i viewed i had a black screen, 10 minutes later again the detector went off and the pre roll and recording seems fine. A few hours later i could see the motion detector has activated again i went to check on my phone but no video could be uploaded. I thought maybe this was a isolated incident as all day today it has been fine but again today the motion detector has activated and again I’m getting a black screen. Any ideas what could be causing this?

My wifi router is about 1 metre from the ring door bell nothing obstructing other than the pvc front door and nothing has changed since first installing. Wifi seems fine, no apparent or noticble drop in wifi speed upload/download.

This sounds like an intermittent connection concern, as your recordings, pre-roll, and later events are working. As your router is close to your Ring device it is likely not interference, although network outages are worth checking for. Please also ensure there is not a VPN enabled on your device.
