Battery lifespan Ring vdoorbell4

Hi I have a Ring Video doorbell 4 which is powered by battery. I have 2 batteries and i have a super charger. I have had the doorbell and batteries about 1 year. One of the batteries is no longer charging. A year seems such a short life span. What is the lifespan? Is there any recourse on this? i.e. can i contact Ring for a replacement? Thanks!
