Battery Door Open Error Message
Getting the error battery door opened. I tried closing the battery lid with clicking sound more than 10 times and even tried resetting for 5 times. No use still showing the same error. How to stop these messages or get it to recognize the door is closed?

So pleased to find this but not pleased. WHY has this been going on so long with no fix? Just had a replacement delivered and it’s no different to the first. Battery door open. Doesn’t like two batteries - doesn’t detect motion. (One battery does detect motion). RSSI showing as 0. It’s malfunctioning on so many levels. Obviously no point in having a third replacement? Has anyone had a replacement that’s actually worked? Interestingly, my white spotlight cam is fine - or at least is so far, for 6 weeks. It’s the black ones that aren’t working, straight out of the box. But that might just be a coincidence.

I just finished reading so many post with the same issue. I've had mine for 1 week and it started on day one. Also, do all cams have delayed reaction when it says someone is at the door? I immediately click on it only to find the person already walking away. Waiting on ring doorbells, hope they are not the same as the cams.

I am currently having this issue with my Spotlight Cam...I have replaced the camera 2 times so far and I'm now awaiting camera #4 to try and remedy this issue. The disturbing thing is that my Ring representative informed me that after sending me 2 replacements for my new Spotlight Cam, they will now send out a new replacement instead of the last two replacements which were apparently refurbished. What bothers me is twofold, firstly my new camera was replaced with refurbished ones and secondly, I was informed that the next replacement will be a brand new one. They knew about the battery door open error message and sent out replacements that continue to have this defect. I have spent way too much time replacing cameras and sending back defective ones to be informed that I was receiving refurbished cameras with the known flaw in them. I have a house full of Ring devices and until now they have been great, so this took me by surprise. My time and patience is seemingly unimportant to Ring, and I sincerely hope that the next camera will fix this aggravating issue.

Been having the same issue with the error message battery door open. Someone else mentioned it. Damn thing does not like two batteries. I did not have an issue until I installed a second battery. Took the second batter out and the error message is gone. At least for now.

 Same BS here. Brand new out of the box to replace a former one the was exhibiting the batter door error. WTF is the matter with this company. Everything in China now, even support? The obviously have an OS or firmware issue that they are not talking about. We need to, as a community, confront them on every turn. I spent 90 minutes on the phone with them 2 days ago trying to resolve replace and orders that were incorrectly sent to me, 90 freaking minutes. I had to repeat myself 4 times to this person and this was the second time I had to contact them. I have spoken to 4 different RING "tech" support people in the last week, and they still don't have this issue or my orders corrected. What the hell is going on?????????????????????????????????????????
