Audio screeching

Hi, I'm new to this could anyone give me any advice, I bought a ring video doorbell 2 about 3weeks ago, it worked fine but just in the last week the audio is very screeching when anyone rings the bell, I can't hear them while I'm in the house and they can't hear me, they said the best way to describe it is like s load of squeeky mice ?
