All of a sudden my Ring Floodlight light is sensitive

I have had the ongoing issue of my Ring Floodlight cam being set off by car headlights that are not in my motion zones but NOW, within the past couple of weeks those headlights are triggering my light to come on too. I have done nothing different with my cam or motion zones. It also picks up white vehicles (during the day) that drive by my house and are not in one of my motion zones. I am so completely aggravated by this Floodlight/Cam. I moved to lowest sensitivity to no avail. I don't even have the light zone closest to the street turned on. The most awesome thing of all is that when I pull into my driveway, where a motion zone IS, the light doesn't turn on until I walk on to my deck. What gives Ring?

I just installed my ring floodlight cam and I am extremely unhappy with this lighting issue!!! No matter what I do like all other users the damn light keeps coming on due to passing cars well outside of my lighting zone. Even with it set as low as it goes it still comes on. Kicker is when I pull in my driveway the light doesn’t come on until I get out of the car. Totally ridiculous and useless!!! This is my first ring product and if this is not fixed in short order I will be returning this completely useless device!!! Hey ring fix your product or you will lose my business and many others!!!

Floodlight light (Only Works Correctly in Live Mode Now I discovered) October update destroyed a perfectly calibrated device straight out of the box. Light on and off all night long since October with light setting on lowest sensitivity.

Hey, neighbors. Changes were made to the way the lights trigger on the Floodlight Cam so that they will come on with every motion event. This is to help prevent missed events for the lights and to ensure there is proper lighting for your video. We appreciate your feedback in regards to this and will ensure it is shared with our teams here. You can learn more about the expected behavior of your lights with your Floodlight Cam in our Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004155866-Controlling-the-Floodlights-and-Light-Settings-on-Your-Floodlight-Cam), which has been updated to reflect this change. :)

What an absolutely ridiculous change to a flood light that worked perfect for years before the October update changed what we paid for. This change is not what WE ALL Purchased. Furious and unacceptable. So NOW if a CRIME happens in the street in the daytime the camera will pick up NOTHING because we have to change our motions zones so the light doesn't go on and off all night long with the change ring has made to the light settings actually working and what we bought. Horrible job Amazon.

That's ridiculous!!! Does Ring think we sit and stare at the Ring App from sunset to sunrise? And No, the lights coming on when it's a car passing by in the street does NOT help see the vehicle. It works infinitely better when it's only the infrared camera recording without the lights on. This is such BS. I'm done with Ring. Whoever thought this ridiculous change was a good idea should be fired. I paid a fortune to buy the Floodlight Cam and a bigger fortune to have it installed two years ago. It worked beautifully until October. WE DO NOT WANT EVERY LITTLE GNAT AT THE END OF OUR DRIVEWAY TO TRIGGER THE LIGHTS. We want the lights to come on in the clearly now non-functional Motion Zone for Lights. Time to start shopping for a new floodlight security camera and it will NOT be a Ring device! I'm also reporting Ring to the Better Business Bureau and will be using my "word of mouth" option to tell my friends to take their money elsewhere.

Total BS. The developers need to push a simple update to the app so users can turn this feature off. Why in the world would I want my lights coming on all night with passing vehicles?

Will not be recommending ring anymore. Every time that light goes on all night long it reminds me to get something else and not renew subscription. There will be a breaking point and ring will lose me as a customer if the light setting change is not reversed. Light going on with all motion is beyond unacceptable. Neighbor across the street has a floodlight also and light is being triggered by everything, so NOW my light is triggered by the shadows from his light when somebody walks on the sidewalk across the street. Disgusted with ring and Amazon.

Then why is there still an option in the app to control your light motion zones and your camera motion zones why not have just one control it’s now just one feature? Why wouldn’t you have an updated app with one control, if we can no longer use them separately. I don’t want my neighbors being blinded each time a car drives by although I want it to have the vehicle documented. This is a sorry excuse after a month of countless customer complaints and many hours trying to fix your problem on our own. If this is intentional why wouldn’t you announced it a month ago instead telling everyone to here try this, try that? If like you stated for better video quality the issue with this entire statement is that at night the video is better when the light is off, video at night areas that aren’t directly illuminated by the light become very dark indistinguishable. So basically your telling countless once happy content customers now you offer your product that takes worthless video at night (if the object isn’t directly under the light itself) and a motion light that doesn’t work the way it was intended. Why would any paying customers be happy with this trash? I think the only thing that you can say you’ve achieved is destroying your company, like many others unless fixed I’ll be looking for a replacement. Here’s a Tip: if it’s not broken don’t mess with it!

Such a poor and unprofessional response from ring, basically telling us yes we changed the way your hardware works after all these years so deal with it. I now have no faith in ring what so ever. They can't even release a simple update to allow users to turn this garbage feature off.
