I have two location on my Ring app. One is no longer used. I deleted all the devices on that location. To validate, I have gone into devices and there are none showing. However, when I attempt to delete the location, it displays message “all devices must be removed before a location can be deleted”
Hi @ScottB2. Try uninstalling the Ring app and reinstalling it, but before doing so, please make sure your phone is running Android version 9 or higher, and for iOS, version 14 or higher, otherwise you will not be able to reinstall the Ring app. If you have tried this step and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call at one of the numbers available here. If you are outside of the US, please visit here to see how to contact support.
I am having the same issue and have all devices removed, unlinked Amazon acct, etc. Please let me know if anyone has answers! Ive been dealing with Ring and Amazon (Alexa devices) for months now and STILL cant get it deleted!
Hi @Taylor1225821. If you have removed all of the devices from a location in the Ring app, and you’re still unable to delete that location, please follow up with our support team at one of the numbers available here. They’ll be able to take a closer look at this.
I’m using the website and having the same issue. Idk why it’s always such a hassle to add, troubleshoot, and remove devices. Very, very poor tech skills, guy. Shameful. Try some Q-C-ing every now and then
Hi @user56953. While you can view your devices from Ring.com, adding or removing devices and managing your Locations should be done within the Ring app. You can learn more about Locations in the Ring app here. If you’re still not able to remove a Location after removing all devices associated with it in the Ring app, then it’s best to get in touch with our support team to take a closer look.
