Trying to continue adding motion detector (gen2) but not listed under base station so cannot finish setting up with app.

Ah, ok. Just a little mix up I think, because when adding a motion detector you don’t set it up by selecting Base Station. But I can see how that can easily be confusing.

To “Add a Device” scroll down to the very bottom of your main dashboard and tap the “Plus-Sign” that says, " Set Up A Device". You can also get to the same part another way by selecting the Main Menu (the 3 horizontal line upper-left-corner of dashboard) > select “Devices” and then you’ll see a blue circle with a “Plus-sign” in it. Select that. Then:

  • select Security Devices
  • Sensors (not Base Station)
  • Motion Detector for Ring Alarm (2nd Gen)
  • and then select **READY ** and follow the instructions.
